Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Snacks

"I think it's nice that there are all different kinds of lunches and breakfasts and dinners and snacks. I think eating is nice." – Albert from Bread and Jam for Frances, by Russell C. Hoban

Strawberry Almond Milk Ice Cream with Chopped Almonds: Impressions

A response to Strawberry Almond Milk Ice Cream with Chopped Almonds

As an un-churned base, I found the taste lacking. The strawberry came across as too delicate, so I added extra honey and lemon juice, which strengthened the flavor, especially after chilling. I was worried how it would taste after churning.

Luckily, as it frequently happens, freezing brought out the flavors, even if it dulled the sweetness slightly. Definitely a success, though I’d play around with more egg yolks and maybe cornstarch next time, in an effort to improve the texture.

Light and delicious!
